Situated in the northern Mt Lofty Ranges, South Australia’s Clare Valley was settled in the late 1830s, with the first vineyards planted and wines produced in the early 1840s. The climate features a warm to hot summer, but cooling afternoon breezes play a major role in slowing down the ripening process. Some of Australia’s finest Riesling is grown in the Clare Valley.
Established in 1893, Leasingham has been an integral part of the Clare Valley for over 100 years. Leasingham Bin Range was developed in the mid 1960s as the winemaker’s selection of the best parcels of fruit from each vintage – a tradition of quality that continues today. Brilliant pale straw with green hues, this wine displays vibrant aromas of lime blossom, fresh orange, mineral and lavender. The lively palate supports the bouquet’s primary fruit notes and full flavour delivers a wine with great focus to the end.
