LEASINGHAM BIN 7 RIESLING

91 points James Halliday Wine Companion

A once proud market leader that has followed the market down, but you can’t take Clare Valley and/or riesling out of the equation. This is a nice wine with a floral bouquet and easygoing palate.

95 points Huan Hooke - The Real Review

The colour is pale and backward; the aromas are fresh, intense green-lime and mineral chalkiness, with a hint of green herbs. The palate is similarly reserved, youthful and compact, showing great vitality and refined intensity. The energising acidity is beautifully integrated and adds a rapier-like thrust to the palate without being tart or aggressive. It’s not austere but leaves the mouth with a cleansing dryness. Tremendous length and harmony. A beautiful young riesling with a big career ahead for those who choose to cellar it. Enjoy now to at least 2023.

LEASINGHAM CLASSIC CLARE RIESLING

94 points James Halliday Wine Companion

A striking riesling, as much for its ‘classic’ Clare DNA of tangy acidity doused in lime cordial, as for its herbal complexity. Orange blossom, honeysuckle and sherbet are nicely offset by an undercarriage of wild fennel, reminiscent of the Mediterranean in the best sense. Long. A strong pulse bodes well for the future.

93 points Campbell Mattinson – The Wine Front

Intensity of fruit flavour here is excellent. Lime and slate, punchy and long. A dry ,searing finish but it’s a riesling with body…ther’s fruit, there’s flavour, quality undeniable.
